Ohpen and AbelX have announced a strategic partnership designed to accelerate the practical use of AI across the lending process.
AbelX can now deploy AI solutions directly to the Ohpen platform, giving lenders access to the pace, focus and expertise of a specialist AI developer while keeping their data within the secure Ohpen environment.
Bringing AI closer to the core
For Ohpen, the partnership is a natural extension of its strategy to build the next generation of mortgage technology. The platform is headless and API-first, with Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors that allow approved partners to work securely and directly with the core banking engine.
The platform is live and available today. Rather than building AI solutions alongside the core platform and then facing the challenge of integrating them, AbelX can build directly on top of Ohpen’s infrastructure.
This shortens the path from identifying a problem to developing and deploying a solution.
Lending expertise meets AI development
Members of the AbelX team have spent years working in lending, including at FlexFront, Romeo, Tulp Hypotheken, Blauwtrust Groep and BCMGlobal. This experience gives the team first-hand understanding of the processes, pressures and practical challenges lenders are trying to address.
Combined with Ohpen’s technical foundation, that experience enables ideas to move more quickly from concept to working solutions for Ohpen clients.
